RSI бирж. индекс относительной силы (технический индикатор, отражающий соотношение между ценами закрытий с повышением и ценами закрытий с понижением за определенный период; рассчитывается по формуле: (см. рис.), где U — среднее значение закрытий с повышением за данный период, D — среднее значение закрытий с понижением за данный период; используется для выявления состояний "перекупленности" и "перепроданности"; значение индекса меняется от нуля до 100; значение индекса около 70 считается признаком "перекупленности" актива и трактуется как указание на то, что актив переоценен рынком и можно ожидать падения его курса; значение индекса около 30 считается признаком "перепроданности" актива и трактуется как указание на то, что актив недооценен рынком; не смешивать с понятием "относительная сила")See:Англо-русский экономический словарь > relative strength index

7 RSI - RELATIVE STRENGTH INDEX
индекс относительной силы: термин используется в техническом анализе; как и большинство осцилляторов, RSI измеряет силу сегодняшней цены по отношению к предстоящему периоду. Популярность данного индекса обусловлена двумя факторами: 1) RSI сводит к минимуму неустойчивые колебания цен (как и другие индикаторы момента); 2) RSI формируется в пределах верхней и нижней границ в диапазоне 0-100, - данная характеристика имеет преимущество в предоставлении постоянного сравнительного диапазона.
